Spirit Of Women Beating the Blues Series - Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.)
Spirit of Women
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a form of depression that is affected by seasonal changes. As the days shorten in length and there is less light many people, especially those who live in northern climates experience SAD. Join Spirit of Women for our 2-part program Beating the Blues to learn how to recognize symptoms and what strategies can be helpful to lessen the impact of SAD on people’s lives.

October 6 - Seven Years in TIbet - by Heinrich Harrer - The story of a mountain climber's excape into Tibet, and the wonderful years he spent there both learning the rich culture of TIbet and sharing his own knowledge with the people he met. (including the Dalia Lama)

November 3 - To End All Wars - by Ernest Gordon - A true story of forgiveness and meaning found in the blackest of circumstances. A life changing book. When Ernest Gordon was twenty four he was
captured by the Japanese and forced to build with other British prisoners the Railroad of Death. This isn't a dark book, but full of hope, and the remarkable love that these soldiers had for each other.
