Alice Willard-Michaels, RN, Recertified Diabetes Educator

Alice Willard-Michaels, the Diabetes Educator at Parkview Adventist Medical Center, has successfully completed recertification for her credentials as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), according to Parkview Vice President Sheryl McWilliams.
The credentialing process, which is completed every five years, is a professional practice requirement.
“The National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators recognizes that diabetes education is an evolving specialty,” according to the credentialing board.
“Renewing her CDE demonstrates that Alice is dedicated to her specialty,” said McWilliams. “She continues to meet a high level of contemporary knowledge in diabetes self-management education.”
