Cardiopulmonary
The Cardiopulmonary Department cares for patients with diseases of the heart, lungs, and circulatory system. We provide initial and ongoing clinical assessment, and provide your physician with detailed studies of the heart and lungs to help design a treatment plan that's best for you.
Surgical Services
Parkview Adventist Medical Center partners with patients, their families and their physicians to provide a personalized and quality surgical experience. Parkview Adventist Medical Center has four state-of-the art operating rooms in which we provide a variety of services, from minor to advanced surgical procedures.
Emergency Services
Our Emergency Room is staffed with Board-Certified Emergency Physicians and specially trained nursing and support personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Laboratory
Our laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and performs a full range of anatomic and clinical pathology services on site. It has the capability to send any test your physician orders to an extensive reference laboratory network.
We offer round the clock coverage with a variety of general clinical laboratory tests. Any special tests not offered by our laboratory will be sent to reference laboratories.

- Full range of basic surgical pathology, cytopathology, and autopsy services
- Hematology; CBC, platelet count, blood film review, body fluid cell counts
- Coagulation: PT, INR, PTT, D-Dimer, fibrinogen, D-dimer
- General chemistry testing
- Cardiac testing: CKMB, Troponin, BNP
- Therapeutic Drug Monitoring testing
- Thyroid testing, PSA, HCG, FE,TIBC
- General blood bank testing: ABO/Rh, DAT, antibody screen, T&S/T&C
- Transfusion Services: PRBC, FFP, platelets, therapeutic phlebotomy
- Microbiology: Routine C&S, AG screen for parasites and C. difficile
Intensive Care Unit
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Parkview Adventist Medical Center is designed and equipped to meet the needs of the critically ill. Patients cared for in the ICU include those with either medical, surgical, or cardiac conditions requiring intensive, closely monitored nursing and physician care. A variety of specialized monitoring devices quickly alert the staff to changes in the patient's condition. Our ICU is staffed with Registered Nurses who are specially trained and licensed in caring for the critically ill. Our centralized cardiac monitoring station allows our expert medical professionals to monitor patients on the Medical/Surgical Unit 24 hours a day to assure all nursing stations are immediately aware of any change in a patient's heart rhythm.
Medical/Surgical Unit
The Acute Care Unit or Med/Surg Unit at Parkview Adventist Medical Center is a 28-bed inpatient unit providing medical and surgical care for adult and pediatric patients. Our unit is staffed with Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants to provide safe, efficient, top quality care. The unit provides general medical care for a wide variety of acute illnesses, provides post-operative surgical care and telemetry monitoring for our cardiac patients. All of our units are equipped with our state-of-the-art electronic medical record system that helps physicians and staff provide the safest and highest quality patient care possible for our patients and their families. Our nurses and staff can also assist patients with any special information or needs they may have in regard to diet, exercise, bathing, medications, spirituality, and lifestyle assistance.
